Folkestone Morehall is a ward of Folkestone West county division, represented on Kent County Council by Lib Dem Tim Prater.
The Liberal Democrat Action Team are working for Morehall throughout the year, and keep in touch regularly through Focus and through E-FOCUS direct via email too.

On 7th March 2012 Officers Sarah Wallace and Mark Ball attended an address in Radnor Park Crescent in relation to report of a Burglary in progress. Upon arriving on scene the suspect had made off from the area. Whilst conducting enquiries the offender was spotted, and stopped by the officers.
PCSO's Mark Ball and Sarah Wallace attended a report of criminal damage. From conducting appropriate level of enquiries the officers were able to identify a group of 4 young persons as well as the name of the main offender.

PCSO Mark Ball attended Highlands Close in relation to a report of Anti-social behaviour towards a local resident. The group was quickly identified, resulting in Officer Ball speaking with the parents of the young person responsible.

This is the update for the month of January 2012, for the Cheriton, Morehall & Sandgate areas.
PCSO Mark Ball investigated recent reports of criminal damage in Station Road, Hawkins Road and Shaftesbury Avenue. The 4 Asian/oriental males were identified upon viewing local CCTV. Full details of the group were confirmed at a local school, resulting in each member of the group being cautioned and questioned at Folkestone Police Station.

Update for the month of October 2011, for the Cheriton & Morehall areas.
On Saturday 1st October 2011 local officers Karen Tappenden & Mark Ball attended the park area between Firs Lane and Shaftesbury Avenue in relation to a report of youths on top of residential garages. A group of young persons were stopped, whose details were recorded with parents being spoken to regarding their conduct/behaviour.

Good news and bad news on the scheduled Folkestone West & Sandgate "You Decide" day at Pent Valley School this Saturday, which has unfortunately had to be cancelled.
The "You Decide" days are designed to give the local community a say on which groups and organisations they want to see funded from the bids submitted. Running now for three years in Folkestone west, for this years event, there was £10,000 available, with up to £1,000 per bid. Unfortunately, at the close of applications for grants, there had been nine bids in total - meaning that every bid on the day would be successful.

After feedback from local residents on the new Morehall Avenue and Chart Road one way system, Cheriton PSCO Mark Ball has agreed to keep an eye on the situation on his patrols of the area and raise the issue at the weekly Police CSU meeting.
Please don't drive the wrong way down one-way streets!
Results of the Morehall Avenue and Chart Road survey are still coming in, and will be compiled and aggregate results published soon.

Kent Police update for the month of August 2011, for the Cheriton & Morehall areas.
On Wednesday 10th August 2011 PCSO Mark Ball attended Cheriton Library and spoke with Nepali village elders. Officer Ball discussed recent Thefts and the resulting community concerns. The 22 attendees were happy with this level of engagement, and agreed to further meetings with local Police.

Kent Police update for the month of July 2011, for the Cheriton & Morehall areas.
Officers Mark Ball & Debbie Bishop attended Cheriton Primary School for their annual summer fete. Security marking was conducted on mobile phones and bikes. Safety advice was also provided, and local issues discussed.

There are a number of reports of Vodafone signal being lost across Folkestone and Sandgate (much of CT19 & CT20) this morning. Reports have been made to Vodafone via Twitter, who say they are looking into it.
Vodafone tends to be the only mobile phone network with network coverage in Sandgate village, with signal from other operators signal being sporadic / poor at best.

Kent Highways Services have advised that following the Shepway Joint Transport Board's passing of this scheme, County-wide Improvements are now dealing with the scheme, and have a programmed timescale for installation of February / March 2011.
