Kent Police update February 2012 - Sandgate

February 5, 2013 12:51 PM
By PCSO 57330 Gary Carr 07772 226116 in Monthly Kent Police Update

During January there has been only 1 reported incident of crime in the ward. A pedal cycle was stolen from outside Churchill House. I would remind anyone with a bike to use a good quality lock and secure the bike properly when not being used.

There were several reports of youths throwing snowballs at vehicles and properties. Follow up visits were made to youths and their parents regarding incidents at Highland Close, Golden Valley Shops and Lister Way.

I have been working with the family liaison officer at Sandgate Primary School over reports of a suspicious person hanging around Coolinge Lane. High visibility patrols have been carried out around that location

Vehicles have again caused obstruction on Military Road, Undercliff and Castle Road and I would ask residents to be mindful where they park. On the High Street I have moved cars which have been parked on zig-zag and double yellow lines. I have also reported several vehicles for having no legal road tax and or abandoned along The Esplanade.

On Friday 15th February I shall be holding a property marking event at Sandgate Library at 11:30am to 12:30pm. I have also updated the Sandgate Neighbourhood page on the Kent Police website with surgery dates for the new 6 months.PSC
