Kent Highway Services is inviting expressions of interest from companies to carry out work on the county's busy roads network.
The invitation comes as Kent's highway maintenance and intelligent transport systems contracts are being retendered to take advantage of current best practice and innovative approaches.
Any contractors that want to find out more should access the Contract Notice on http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:152522-2010:TEXT:EN:HTML
Or they can go online to:
This also gives information of an open day for potential contractors which is scheduled for 8 June, by invitation only.
The new contracts will be awarded in just over a year's time and will take effect from September 2011. Meanwhile, existing contractors Ringway and telent UK remain committed to maintaining high service levels.
Kent County Council Director of Kent Highway Services, John Burr, said:
"A lot has changed since these two big contracts were awarded four years ago. This is an exciting opportunity for us to get even better services by working in new ways."
