20mph through Sandgate Village? Your views wanted.

The Transport Advisory Group (TAG) of Sandgate Parish Council has recently been discussing traffic issues on the A259 through Sandgate Village. In particular there have been concerns about Sandgate Hill at the junction with Coolinge Lane and Radnor Cliff Crescent. The concerns are magnified when parents and children are trying to get to and from school.
The group has considered the possibility of reducing the speed limit to 20mph on the A259 from the top of Sandgate Hill to Battery Point at the end of the esplanade. But before the lobbying starts, the group wishes to know the views of local residents and users of the A259 through Sandgate.
Lib Dem Cllr Season Prater, who sits on TAG, said:
"We really want to know the views of local people on this issue. You can take part in the opinion poll on the front page of our web site or email me with your thoughts and I will make sure all comments are fed back to TAG."
