Cheriton Councillor Tim Prater is pressing Shepway Council to cut grassy areas of Risborough Lane, Folkestone, where the grass is nearly 1m tall!

Tim Prater has put in cutting requests for the area at the junction of Military Road and Risborough Lane (near the junction with St Marks Close) and also at the junction of Risborough Lane and Cherrybrook Road. In both cases, the grass is around 1 metre high and is making the area look untidy.

Tim Prater commented:

"Shepway need to get their house in order on grass cutting. If you neglect an area - as Shepway seem to be doing here in Cheriton - then other people start to neglect the area as well.

"It simply shouldn't take 2 weeks to get some grass cut, and frankly, to have to ask the Council to cut the grass in the first place is a pretty bad sign - do they not know they should be keeping the area tidy?"
